Thank You Card SVG Files

A thank you card is always handy to have on hand, to express your gratitude and appreciation, whether it's for a lovely gift you've received, or to thank someone who's really gone above and beyond to help you out...

I've got two lovely templates for you to choose from - if you like them both, they're available in a special double-pack to help you save money...

Both thank you cards have a similar design and both are easy to make on your Cricut or other similar cutting machine...

• The cards use three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized cardstock per card (including the envelope).

• The cards are cut from flat sheets of card and use the standard Cricut cutting mat (not the specialist card mat).

• The thank you cards use the 'cut and score' function on your cutting machine - you will need a scoring tool for your machine (or you can score manually with scissors or a knitting needle or something similar). I discuss choosing scoring tools for Cricut, scoring manually (without a machine) and also give you the all-important steps to set up the lines to score correctly with Cricut on this page - you may also find it helpful to follow even if you have another type of cutting machine as it shows you all the steps that need to be followed.

I'll share some more photos of both of the thank you card template designs below, that I made with my Cricut Maker, so that you can get a better look at them - and also get some ideas for colour combinations - I've got a few here to help inspire you for your own cardmaking creations...

Simple Thank You Card SVG - Non-Floral Design

Blue and green thank you card

The template for the simple thank you card (the non-floral design) is in the green and blue colours above - a fresh green outer card, a navy blue inner card, and a light blue envelope - I think it's quite nice, contemporary and cheerful while still being suitable for the males in our lives...

I also made the card in alternative colours (below) - a lovely teal for the outer card, a very pale green inner card, and a bright green envelope - another fresh-feeling colour combination - put a calmer envelope with the teal card, instead, (perhaps a pale blue or the same pale green as the inner card) and it's a lovely classic colour idea that you could use...

The green thank you card above uses -

• Cricut cardstock for the outer card (from the Jewel tones pack)

• Clairefontaine Midnight Blue 'Maya Smooth Drawing Card' (185gsm) for the inner card

• Generic coloured crafting cardstock (160 gsm) for the pale blue envelope (pictured bottom left corner) 

Totally Teal - thank you card template colour idea

The teal thank you card above uses - 

• Sizzix 'Surfacez' textured cardstock for the outer card

• Generic coloured crafting cardstock (160 gsm) for both the inner card and envelope

Floral Thank You Card SVG File

Pretty floral thank you card - pink and yellow

The template for the floral thank you card is in these pretty pink, black and yellow colours above - the outer card is a lovely pink, with a black outer card for contrast, and a cheerful bright yellow envelope - the look is cheerful, fun, and modern!

You could get a slightly different look with a white inner card, and you could try a pale pink or other pastel-toned envelope for a more classic style...

I also made an alternative colour combination (below) for the floral thank you card SVG template - I do always like to try out colours that aren't pink for floral themes, so for this card I went for a soft green outer card, a pale green inner card, and a light yellow-green envelope - I think the look is pretty and fresh, (and quite a refreshing change from the pink) - quite soft and more classic than the pink card above...

Again, change up the colours for more looks and styles - always try to get some good contrast (usually between light and dark colours) for the inner and outer card, as this way the design stands out really well.

Why not get playful with the envelope and introduce an interesting colour combination - or just stick with the tried and trusted classic colours, if you prefer...
