Learn to Nature Journal Your Way
A gentle, creative nature journaling course for nature lovers who want to slow down, notice more, and reconnect with the natural world. Absolutely no perfect pages required!
Reconnect with nature through nature journaling...
A nature journaling course for the nature lover who craves calm, curiosity and creativity...
Do you long to feel more connected with nature, but find it
hard to make time for long walks or wild adventures?
Even if you're surrounded by trees and birds, it’s easy to feel like
you’re missing that deeper sense of belonging in nature - the quiet joy
of noticing, sketching, or simply pausing to see.
That’s exactly where 'Imperfect Nature Journaling' comes in.
This gentle, beginner-friendly course will help you:
- slow down and feel more present
- rediscover your creativity (even if you think you’re “not artistic”)
- find peace and joy through your connection with nature
What makes it 'imperfect' nature journaling?
Because perfection is what stops most of us from beginning.
This course isn’t about producing beautiful pages, it’s
about feeling alive and grounded again through nature.
Through 20 short, inspiring exercises, you’ll explore
different ways of nature journaling:
- drawing
- writing
- noticing
- mapping
- collecting
- reflecting
So that you can find your way of connecting
with the natural world.
Whether you love to sketch or prefer to jot down what you
see and feel, every exercise is designed to help you notice more, stress
less, and enjoy the moment.

creative exercises to help you start nature journaling your way

By the end of the course, you’ll have your own collection of nature notes,
sketches, and reflections — a personal journal full of moments that remind you
how beautiful it feels to slow down and simply be.
Meet your guide
I’m Lotti Brown, an artist and nature journaler from
Yorkshire.
For years I chased perfection in my sketchbooks until I realised that joy
comes not from the perfect picture, but from the process of noticing.
Now I create art and teach others to rediscover that joy for
themselves through nature journaling.
As a Nature Journaling Educator with the Wild Wonder Foundation, I’ve
designed 'Imperfect Nature Journaling' to be a gentle, creative way to
reconnect with the world of nature right outside your window.
