I created the floral and stars 21st birthday card templates to give you two different design options for the card - the pretty floral design is a very feminine look but the stars design is more unisex so is great for both men and women. You can change up the style of the card a lot with your own choice of colour!

Both cards are easy to make and use the same basic template and process - the same as many of my other card templates here.

You will need three A4 or Letter-sized sheets of cardstock per card (this includes the envelope). This makes a 12 x 12 cm card (around 4.75 x 4.75 inches).

The card uses the standard Cricut sticky mat, which means that it cuts as a flat sheet which we need to score and fold. The score lines are part of the template. You will just need to do a couple of easy steps to set them up in your cutting machine program, before you start to cut. There are full instructions for that on my page here, plus a discussion of cutting manually instead, and choosing scoring tools - even if you're not using a Cricut, I recommend reading the page to get an understanding of what steps you'll need to take with your own machine.

I'll share some of my photos of the cards I made just below, to give you a closer look and also to inspire you and give you some ideas as to colour - I've made two versions of each card so hopefully that will get you started...

Unisex 'stars' 21st birthday card SVG template ideal for men and women

The template for the stars design 21st birthday card SVG template is the teal blue one that you can see in the photo below. I wanted a bold, bright colour for the card and I love this teal cardstock so I thought it was perfect for a 21st card that's suitable for men or women.

I paired it with a plain white inner card to really contrast the design and a lovely blue cardstock for the envelope to tie in nicely with the teal.

I think that it looks contemporary and fun, perfect for a 21st celebration!

My alternative colour idea for the stars-design card is also a bold, modern feel with a white (very pale grey) outer card, a golden-yellow inner card and an orange (and yellow) envelope.

The style is contemporary, fresh, and sunshiney - with a party feel that really shouts out 'Celebration Time'!

You can mix and match these basic colour ideas - with either the bright colour on the outer card or the inner card, and the other white, with the envelope a similar colour to the bright colour. You can use any bright colour you like to get a different feel, but one that's still bold, contemporary and fun in style!

For both cards, I used:

• Sizzix 'Surfacez' cardstock for the outer cards - cut using the 'Cardstock for intricate cuts' setting in my Cricut Maker

• Eastlight Premium white cardstock (160 gsm) for the inner card in the teal card - cut using the 'Light cardstock' setting

• Generic coloured craft cardstock for the blue envelope - cut using the 'Light cardstock' setting

• Craft Sensations DesignPad Brights for the yellow inner card and orange-yellow envelope - this is a double-sided cardstock with a different colour on each side - so this sheet of cardstock is yellow on one side and orange on the other - cut using 'Medium cardstock' setting

Floral-design 21st birthday card template

Teal and pink 21st birthday card SVG template - SVG, DXF, EPS, PNG

For the floral 21st card, the template is pink with a jade green inner card and a softer turquoise green for the envelope. I wanted a modern look, with a colourful, joyful feel with a hint of the tropical!

I used an 'ombre' cardstock with a gradient colour change for the inner card and envelope - so in my photos, my envelope is enjoying a gradient colour change between lilac and teal green - which gives an interesting and unusual look!

Pretty papercut floral card - 21 years old!

I've gone for a bit of an unusual look for the alternative colour choice for this card, too - my alternative idea is this lovely rich orange, (below), paired with a pistachio (lemon-green) inner card and a darker green-blue envelope. Again, I wanted a slightly tropical and fun party feel for the card.

I've used the ombre cardstock for the inner card and envelope of this card too.

Materials and settings used for both floral cards:

• Sizzix 'Surfacez' cardstock for both outer cards - cut using the 'Cardstock for intricate cuts' setting in my Cricut Maker

• Craft Sensations 'Ombre Designs' Pastels for both inner cards and envelopes - cut using 'Medium cardstock' setting. This is a two-sided cardstock with different colours on each side and a gradient colour effect on each. I cut the inner card and envelope for each card from one 12 x 12 inch (30 x 30 cm) sheet of cardstock, each time.
