Your instructions for using the 'Hummingbird with Flowers' SVG are here!
Hummingbirds are such sweet little birds, that when I started designing my hummingbird SVG files, I got a little carried away and designed three different little birds, plus a floral scene with one of the hummingbirds...
So you've got a few different hummingbird designs to choose from - I hope one or more of them appeals to you!
I do create my designs from pen and paper drawings, so you get an authentic hand-crafted look for your craft projects.
I've tried to make them fairly easy to cut - I test cut in cardstock, as you can't go quite as complex as in vinyl - hummingbirds are so tiny, with tiny little feathers too, that they're so detailed - but I've tried to keep the designs so that they look really intricate but aren't too complicated to cut (as long as you don't try and cut them too tiny!)...
The three little hummingbird SVG designs are all available separately and also as a bundle of three designs.
I've also used one of these hummingbirds to create a little scene with some flowers - you will be able to separate the two elements (the bird and the flowers) from within the file, so you can use them separately if you want (the instructions to make sure that they cut from just a single sheet of cardstock (per layer) - or stay together as one design on vinyl - are here) - I'll also create the flowers as a separate listing (find that here), if you prefer to use the flowers in a different way.
If you take note of how I've labelled them, just below, it will help you identify which you like best when I share further photos of each of my cuts in cardstock further down the page - I'll also include the individual links to each style of bird in my store further down the page, too...
I'll share more photos below - each of the files comes with an intricate top layer with the main design, plus a simple background layer, which allows you to add a second colour, if you want.
You can cut the hummingbirds with paper or cardstock, vinyl or HTV, create a stencil, print it out, or cut in other craft materials suitable for your cutting machine - lots of ideas to get creative with the designs and your own craft ideas!
Are you ready for more pics and a closer look..?

The instructions for this so that it will cut using just one A4 or Letter-sized sheet (or so that it stays together when using vinyl) are here!
I hope you've enjoyed looking at my hummingbird designs - if you've not yet decided which you like best, I've got all the options below to help you out...
Please double-check which design you're selecting - as the files are delivered digitally, I cannot refund you if you only notice your mistake after downloading the file.

If you need help with using your cut files, take a look at this page...
These are the instructions so that you can cut the 'Hummingbird with Flowers' SVG design using just one A4 or Letter-sized sheet of cardstock (per layer) - or so that you can keep the design together in the correct position for any size of vinyl...
When I created this design, I wanted to set it up so that you could separate the little bird from the flowers, so that you could change colours or use just one part - so I created it like that - you will be able to select the flower part of the design, and the bird part of the design separately in Cricut Design Space...
What this means, though, is if you're trying to cut onto Letter-sized or A4-sized cardstock or vinyl, your Cricut will want to put the bird and the flower on separate sheets - or if you’re using vinyl, it will want to cut them separately (ie - not in position).
Since I designed it particularly so that the whole design would fit onto one sheet of A4 or Letter-sized cardstock, I definitely needed to find a workaround for this, since no-one wants to use two sheets of cardstock when you only need one! Plus, if you’re using vinyl, you want to get the positioning correct.
The instructions aren't compulsory and you can certainly just ignore these instructions and go ahead and cut on two sheets if you prefer, or if you want to do the two parts in different colours.
So here are the instructions to follow...
I haven't tried it with any other cutting machines, but if you find something similar is happening on your machine, try following your equivalent of these instructions to get it to all cut out together!
The basic procedure to follow is:
I've included these points with photos to help you find your way, just below...
Start from having uploaded the file into Cricut Design Space - if you need any help with getting to that point, that's here...
If you need the measurements for each element, that's just at the bottom of this page (go straight to it here)...
1)Ungroup the file by clicking on the icon with little squares, just above the layers panel on the right-hand side (furthest-left icon) - see the image below...
This means that we will be able to work with each element and each layer separately.
It will now look like the image below...
2) Next, select both the bird and the flowers from the top layer of each - these are the darker elements in your layers list. You can select both by holding down your Shift or Ctrl key and clicking on each in turn - they will each turn green like in the image below...
3) Then click 'Attach' at the bottom of the layers panel - see the image below...
Your screen will now look like the image below with the two elements attached together...
4) So now we need to repeat the process with the two bottom layer elements. So select both of the blue elements by holding down your Shift or Ctrl key and clicking on each in turn to select them - they'll turn green like in the image below...
5) Press 'Attach' - see the image below...
The two elements are now also attached together, along with the ones we did previously, now just below them in the layers panel - as you can see in the image below...
6) Finally, go to 'Make It' (top right) - see the image below...
You will now see that the project cuts onto one sheet of A4 or Letter-sized cardstock per layer and in the correct position - see the image below - you can select your material size in the drop-down menu beneath each mat - just click on the mat picture when you're ready to change the material size for the other mat.
You can now continue with your cut in the usual way...
Happy Crafting! Have fun!
