Moth & Butterfly Art Prints
And Other Insects

By Lotti Brown

Moth and butterfly art prints along with other insects - all by artist-illustrator Lotti Brown. Colourful and contemporary style...

I adore drawing and painting moths and butterflies - they're so beautiful, tiny, and delicate with such amazing patterns and colours - and they seem to me to come from another world as they flit about in the air, stopping just long enough to sip nectar from a flower before taking to the skies again in a merry whirl of wings...

These pieces are from my earlier artwork series - each piece is drawn by hand and then carefully composed and coloured digitally. They’re still available to purchase as fine-art prints and gifts via my Redbubble store.

Behind the Scenes

All my butterfly art prints are created from my own butterfly drawings and paintings. Here are some behind-the-scene glimpses...

Celtic Butterfly Art

As well as my insect, moth and butterfly art prints above, I have a number of Celtic butterfly and moth artworks which combine my own hand-drawn Celtic knotwork along with the butterflies, moths, plants and flowers in a unique contemporary style...

Again, all the artworks are available from my Redbubble store as framed or unframed art prints in a variety of different formats, plus other products such as T-shirts, phone cases, notebooks, mugs, shower curtains, blankets, throw pillows and lots more...

In folklore, moths are often seen as messengers from the Otherworld and associated with witches. These lovely moths are the Garden Tiger Moth, the Emperor Moth and the Eyed Hawk Moth, together with oak leaves, blackthorn flowers, and Celtic knotwork. Check out the moths art in my Redbubble store here...

I was inspired by Celtic knotwork and Medieval manuscripts to create this Celtic design with little Common Blue butterflies and flowers. It's actually one of my favourites! Check out the art print and all the products in my Redbubble store here...

This artwork was one I made to put all my butterflies together in one piece called 'Butterfly Celtic Garden Fantasy' - so there's the Peacock, Painted Lady, Red Admiral, Tortoiseshell, Comma, and Common Blue. I wanted it to feel really light, summery, and tranquil. Butterflies are often seen as messengers from the heavens in Celtic traditions.
