Colourful illustrated British bird tea towels to bring a little colour to your kitchen – perfect bird lover and nature lover gifts…
My tea towels are everyday pieces made to bring a little quiet nature into your home. Each one features my hand-drawn British bird artwork, inspired by moments spent walking hedgerows, watching gardens, and noticing the small details of the natural world.
Printed on soft cotton and made here in the UK using eco-friendly inks, they’re designed to be both useful and lovely - something to reach for daily, whether drying dishes, lining a basket, or simply hanging where you can enjoy the artwork.

Blue tit tea towelEvery tea towel begins, not as a product, but as a quiet moment outdoors...
My designs start life in my nature journal - sketched slowly by hand as I notice birds in the garden, along hedgerows, or out in the fields on my walks.
A flash of a wren in winter, a kingfisher’s jewel-bright flight along water, or the familiar comfort of a blue tit on the feeder - these small encounters are what I return to the page to record.
In my journal, I draw not just what I see, but how the moment feels...
The rhythm of the season, the stillness or movement of the day, and the sense of connection that comes from really paying attention.
From there, certain drawings begin to ask for a life beyond the sketchbook...
Kingfisher in my nature journalWhen a piece feels right, I carefully refine it into a finished illustration. These artworks are then thoughtfully adapted into tea towel designs - practical, everyday pieces that carry a little of that quiet nature magic into your home.
I love the idea of art living where it’s used and enjoyed - hung in a kitchen, wrapped over a warm loaf of bread, or simply brightening a hook by the door. These tea towels are a way of sharing my nature journal pages beyond the page, bringing birds, seasons, and slow moments into the heart of daily life.
Kingfisher tea towel
Blue tit tea towel (folded)Each of my tea towel designs begins as a hand-drawn artwork, inspired by quiet moments spent noticing birds close to home - in gardens, hedgerows, and along field paths. These are familiar British birds, chosen not just for their beauty, but for the feelings they carry with them.
Small, bright, and full of spirit, the wren is a bird of resilience and warmth.
My wren design celebrates this tiny companion of the hedgerows - often seen flitting low through winter gardens - and brings a sense of cheer and quiet determination into the kitchen.
The kingfisher is a flash of colour and stillness combined - a moment of brilliance by water.
This design captures the jewel-like quality of the bird, inspired by calm pauses beside rivers and ditches, where patience is often rewarded with a sudden burst of blue and orange.
Playful, acrobatic, and endlessly charming, the blue tit feels inseparable from garden life.
This design reflects their lively presence and soft spring colours, a reminder of new beginnings, movement, and everyday joy.
Each tea towel carries the character of the original drawing - soft lines, thoughtful detail, and a sense of connection to the natural world - translated into a practical, everyday object. They’re designed to be useful, but also to bring a small moment of beauty into ordinary routines.
Wren tea towelThese tea towels are designed to be both practical and beautiful - something you’ll reach for every day, but also enjoy seeing hanging in your kitchen.
Each design is printed and sewn in the UK on 100% cotton, using eco-friendly inks and a printing process that minimises water use and waste. The fabric has a lovely natural feel, soft enough to handle comfortably, yet sturdy enough for real kitchen tasks.
At 48 × 68 cm (19 × 27"), they’re generously sized, with a simple hanging loop so they can be displayed when not in use. I love the idea of them living visibly in the kitchen - adding a quiet touch of nature, rather than being tucked away in a drawer.
They’re made to be used, washed, and loved over time:
Like my art prints, these tea towels are created with longevity in mind - not fast décor, but pieces made to become part of the rhythm of everyday life.
These tea towels make thoughtful gifts for people who love nature, birds, and simple everyday beauty. They’re practical enough to be used and enjoyed daily, but special enough to feel considered - a small piece of art woven into ordinary moments.
Whether given as a housewarming gift, a birthday present, a thank-you, or a seasonal treat, each design carries a quiet connection to the natural world and the hand-drawn process behind it. They’re gifts that don’t shout for attention, but settle gently into a home - useful, comforting, and full of character.
Perfect for bird lovers, nature journalers, gardeners, and anyone who appreciates hand-drawn design with a story behind it.
