This cat fabric for quilting is a smaller-scale version of my Retro Cat patterns for fabrics and wallpapers that I created specially for craft sewing projects like quilting where you might need a smaller-scale of the design.

You can also mix and match with the larger scale versions (here & here) and work with different color versions of the design to create your project in your own unique way.

My cat quilting fabrics are of:

• black cats (black and white stripes)
• tabby cats
• ginger cats
• colorful cats

Each cat type has a small collection of more muted neutrals including a darker tan, soft sand, warm apricot and soft green - and then a range of brights including yellow, orange, pink and teal, blue or green. So hopefully, you will have lots of options to select from to suit your project.

All fabrics are from my Spoonflower store and are available as yardage (sold by the meter), fat quarters, or small sample sizes as well as the very useful 'cheater quilts'.

They're printed to order and can be sent internationally from the Spoonflower printers in USA.

How to Create a Design For and Order a Cheater Quilt

To create your design for a 'cheater quilt' (which comes in 1-yard or 2-yard size options) you will need to go to the collection page here - and where it says 'Want to use this collection for a Fill-A-Yard™ project?' click on 'Start Designing'.

There are two 'cheater quilt' options:

• a 1-yard option which provides you with 42 x 6" squares to use
• a 2-yard options which provides you with 48 x 9" squares to use

Select one of the cheater quilt options and select your fabric option (from 2 cotton types - mine you see in the photo is on the Signature Petal Cotton).

Click on Design Your Project...

• Then you just click first on the design you want to use on the right hand side of the screen
• Then click on the square you want to put it in, in the main part of the screen

Continue designing and adjusting until you're happy with your design!
